Ann Patchett
Ann Patchett is an American novelist best known for her PEN/Faulkner Award-winning novel Bel Canto.
Synopsis
Ann Patchett was born on December 2, 1963 in Los Angeles, California. The daughter of novelist Jeanne Ray, Patchett earned degrees from Sarah Lawrence College and the University of Iowa and published her first work of fiction while still an undergrad. In 2001, her fourth novel Bel Canto was awarded the Orange Prize for Fiction and the PEN/Faulkner Award. Patchett lives in Nashville, Tennessee.
