Who Is Kate Capshaw?
Kate Capshaw was born on November 3, 1953, in Fort Worth, Texas. Her early acting credits include a role on the soap opera The Edge of Night. In 1991, Capshaw married director Steven Spielberg, whom she met when she auditioned for Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom. She also appeared in such films as Windy City, Black Rain, How to Make an American Quilt and The Locusts, before leaving behind her acting career in the early 2000s. Capshaw has since been involved with the Women's Cancer Research Fund, and in 2018 she teamed with her husband to donate $500,000 to the March for Our Lives protest for stricter gun control laws.
