Michael Kidd

Michael Kidd was a Tony Award-winning dancer, choreographer and director known for his work on Broadway’s Guys and Dolls and films like Hello, Dolly!.

Synopsis

Michael Kidd was born on August 12, 1915, in Brooklyn, New York. He studied at the School of American Ballet, dancing with that company and later with the American Ballet Theatre. Kidd choreographed many Broadway musicals, including four that won successive Tony Awards. His film credits include The Bandwagon, Seven Brides for Seven Brothers and Hello, Dolly!. Kidd died on December 23, 2007, in Los Angeles, California.
