Through alliances and military conquests, Japanese warrior Oda Nobunaga unified Japan under the rule of the shogun.
Warrior Oda Nobunaga was born in 1534 in Owari Province, Japan into the Fujiwara family. In 1549, he succeeded to his father's estate and by 1560 controlled all of Owari and had defeated the neighboring overlord. Through alliances and military conquests, he succeeded in unifying all of Japan under the rule of the shogun. He died on June 21, 1582.
