Tom Watson

Tom Watson is an American golfer and six-time PGA Player of the Year. He was one of the sport’s dominant figures in the 1970s and ’80s.

Who Is Tom Watson?

Tom Watson was born on September 4, 1949, in Kansas City, Missouri. He competed on Stanford University's golf team while earning his B.A. in psychology. After graduating, Watson joined the Professional Golfers' Association of America, winning his first PGA event in 1974. He went on to win the Masters twice, ultimately becoming a six-time PGA Player of the Year, before joining the Champions Tour in 1999. In 2018, the 68-year-old became the oldest person to win the pre-Masters Par 3 Contest. He has also written several books on golf.
