Synopsis

American sportscaster Walter "Red" Barber is best known for his signature exclamation "Oh, Doctor!" in his play-by-play radio broadcasts of Major League Baseball in the early 1900's. He worked in both radio and television announcing games for the Cincinnati Reds, Brooklyn Dodgers and the New York Yankees. He also made weekly contributions to National Public Radio's Morning Edition program.
