Thom Mayne

Architect Thom Mayne helped found the architectural design firm Morphosis, and co-founded the Southern California Institute of Architecture (SCI-Arc).

Synopsis

Thom Mayne was born on January 19, 1944, in Waterbury, Connecticut. He co-founded the architectural design firm Morphosis in 1972. In 1978, he cofounded the Southern California Institute of Architecture (SCI-Arc). In 2000, he won the American Institute of Architects/Los Angeles Gold Medal in Architecture. Mayne was the 2005 Pritzker Prize Laureate. In 2012, he completed the Perot Museum in Dallas, Texas.
