Actor Frankie Muniz starred as the child-genius Malcolm in the FOX sitcom Malcolm in the Middle from 2000 – 2006.

Born Dec. 5, 1985, in Ridgewood, New Jersey, actor Frankie Muniz was home-schooled and began acting at age eight in local productions. He appeared in TV shows such as Spin City and Sabrina the Teenage Witch. In 2000 he landed the role of Malcolm, a child prodigy, on FOX’s sitcom Malcolm in the Middle. The show ran until 2006. He also starred in two movies as Agent Cody Banks opposite Hilary Duff.

Actor. Born Francisco Muniz IV on December 5, 1985, in Ridgewood, New Jersey. Muniz and his older sister Christina briefly lived in Knightdale, North Carolina before returning to New Jersey with their mother, Denise, following their parents' separation.
Since grade six, Muniz had been educated at home by his mother. At age eight, his acting career began when he landed the role of Tiny Tim in a local community theater's presentation of A Christmas Carol. Muniz soon focused his efforts on television and appeared on the popular shows Spin City and Sabrina the Teenage Witch. In 1997, Muniz starred in two TV movies — To Dance With Olivia and Hallmark Hall of Fame's production of What the Deaf Man Heard.
Muniz plays a child prodigy in his current role on FOX's popular sitcom Malcolm in the Middle. His portrayal of Malcolm, a confused 9-year-old with a 165 IQ, has received critical notoriety. Muniz has recently starred with Kevin Bacon and Diane Lane in his first feature film, My Dog Skip (2000), which takes place during World War II and recounts a heart-warming story of the relationship between a young boy and his dog. Most recently, Muniz has taken on the role of a wheelchair-bound teen in the Disney Channel's Miracle in Lane 2 (2000).
