Childhood and Early Career

Actor Brian Austin Green was born on July 15, 1973, in the Van Nuys neighborhood of Los Angeles, California. He was one of three children of George and Joyce (Klein) Green. Growing up, Green first became interested in the performing arts through his father, who was a professional musician. He began acting at a young age, appearing in a film directed by a University of Southern California student when he was just 11 years old.

Green attended North Hollywood High School and continued to act, receiving appearances in television commercials and small parts on television shows including Baywatch, Highway to Heaven, Small Wonder and The New Leave It to Beaver. From 1986 to 1989 he played the son of Donna Mills' character on Knots Landing.

'Beverly Hills 90210'

Green became famous as an original cast member of the hit television series Beverly Hills 90210, which ran from 1990 through 2000. His character in this wildly popular show was David Silver, a rich but slightly geeky high school student constantly striving to be accepted by the most popular clique, whose members were played by Shannen Doherty, Jason Priestley, Luke Perry, Jennie Garth and Tori Spelling. The relationship between Green's character and Spelling's character, Donna Martin, became an on-going romantic plot on the series.

During his tenure on 90210, Green indulged his love of music by releasing a hip-hop album titled One Stop Carnival (1996).

Continuing Career

Following the finale of 90210, Green's career slowed down somewhat; he took parts in television movies like 2003's This Time Around and made guest appearances on various television shows. He played himself in a humorous cameo in the action film Domino, starring Keira Knightley, in 2005; shortly afterwards, he began to work more steadily and in higher-profile projects. He appeared in the sitcom Freddie (with Freddie Prinze Jr.), in the science-fiction series Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles and in the Superman-inspired Smallville (as cyborg Metallo) in 2009.

Green has recently expanded his repertoire with roles in the primetime soap opera Desperate Housewives (2010-'11), the "bromance" comedy The Wedding Band (2012-'13) and co-starring with Charlie Sheen in Anger Management (2012-'14).

Personal Life

Green has been romantically involved with several actresses over the course of his career, including two of his 90210 cast-mates: he dated Tiffany Thiessen in the mid-90s and Vanessa Marcil from 1999 to 2003. He and Marcil had a son named Kassius Lijah in 2002.

Green met actress and model Megan Fox in 2004; after dating for six years, Green and Fox married in 2010. The couple has three sons, Noah (b. 2012), Bodhi (b. 2014), and Journey (b. 2016).

In August 2015 Green and Fox announced they were separating after 11 years together, but the following summer the pair was reported to have reconciled.
