Simone Weil
Simone Weil was a French intellectual, activist and Christian Mystic.
Synopsis
Simone Weil was born on February 3, 1909, in Paris, France. Beginning at the age of 5, Weil refused to eat sugar because French soldiers flighting in WWI had none. She continued eat no more than soldiers' rations throughout her life. Her social observations led her to follow Christian mystics. Weil was prolific writer and her works filled 20 volumes when they were published after her death in 1943.
